The Beef Chow-fun was incredibly tasty and the beef was very tender. The Crab Rangoon was very balanced in flavor and hot and crispy. Lastly the Pork Egg-roll was completely on point and seasoned well. Highly recommended.

I have never before had a restaurant location make me sad the way this one does. Don't misunderstand me, the location itself is fine it's just too far from my house for me to be able to get takeout. The food is just so good that I'm already making plans in my head for what I want to try next. My small family dined in for dinner. The ambience is nonexistent-they seem to primarily be take out but there are tables available to eat your dinner that is still served in takeout containers. To be honest this just makes it more convenient to your leftovers home. The portions are huge so there will be leftovers. All three of us ordered combination meals that come with an egg roll and ham fried rice. We had chicken in garlic sauce, Mongolian chicken and Hunan beef. Then we also ordered a small honey chicken entree to share. Even though all our dishes were similar (a meat with veg in spicy sauce) they all had their own unique flavor profiles. The spicy dishes were hot enough to open up the sinuses without being overwhelming or burning out your pallet. The vegetables were all perfectly crisp tender and the meats were soft, succulent and juicy. The honey chicken came with white rice and was perfection. The breading stayed crisp through our entire meal and the sauce was perfectly sticky and sweet. The fried rice was well seasoned with great dry, fluffy texture. The egg rolls were hot fresh and crispy but flavor wise just pretty standard. Even though this place is counter service only both employees were very friendly and helpful. If they had a more inviting dine in experience this would easily be a full five stars. Or maybe I just need to move closer so that take out would be an option??? Our meal filled us up completely and we definitely have enough leftovers for everyone to get a big lunch again tomorrow and the price was under $50. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in the area.

Good service and the food was good. I had lemon pepper wings, fried rice, and egg roll. Everything was cooked to order. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the rice was not mushy like some of these places. Egg roll was nice and crispy.

Happy Garden is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Augusta. When my boyfriend and I first moved here we tried multiple different Chinese restaurants but this one took the cake in not only quality/taste of food but also service. We ate there regularly for the entire 4 years at the DCG and it never failed to be absolutely delicious. We frequently got the sweet and sour chicken combo which is a 10/10 and the beef/chicken and broccoli combo which was usually an 8.5/10. We also love their crab rangoon's, egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, house soup, veggie lo mein, szechuan style beef, and much more. Really you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! We always called in for takeout and the wait time was always around 15-20 minutes for pickup. Usually a younger guy always helped us and he is just the best!

Judging based on the two items I've gotten so far (and have ordered multiple times in only the past month), this place is toe to toe with some spots I've had in china towns of Houston and Atlanta. It will sound like an exaggeration but the flavor is authentic, the quanities are great, and the price is fair. Beef Chow fun (5/5): this beef chow fun is at least as good as ones I've had at almost every other restaurant apart from House of bowls in houston. Huge and plentiful beef chunks (flank I believe) that are super tender every time I've ordered. Plenty of crunchy bean sprouts to balance out the chewy wide rice noodles. The rice noodles always have a great texture and are soaked in the addicting brown sauce. The only thing I can think of that makes this just beneath the best spot in Houston's china town is that the sear is lighter on the beef flank and noodles, resulting in a slightly less smoky taste. This is probably just due to a lower heated wok. Overall this is my favorite dish in Augusta and I wouldn't be ashamed to bring family here when they visit no matter where they are from. Hunan chicken (4.5/5): The hunan chicken was a dish I ordered to see if other dishes tasted authentic here, and it also exceeded expectations. The dish is just spicy enough that there's a small kick without being overwhelming. There is a subtle fermented bean flavor similar to laoganma, making it stand apart from your average stirfried chicken dish you would find in other less authentic chinese restaurants. Like the beef flank in the beef chow fun, the chunks of chicken here are also plentiful and every single time I've ordered, they have been ridiculously tender. Plenty of snowsnap peas, carrots, and broccoli that are crunchy yet soaked in the brown sauce that goes great with white rice. I ordered this one with the egg roll and fried rice as a combo the first time. The egg roll is crispy and filled with pork/cabbage, less greasy than others I have had in Augusta. The fried rice is decent but a bit too salty. I recommend sticking to white rice. The only .5 I knocked off is because the Hunan chicken is just a tad saltier than I would like, but it's not a big issue with enough white rice. Definitely happy to have stopped by here after seeing a picture of their beef chow fun on google reviews. I have definitely found my Chinese spot in Augusta that isn't just solid for an Augusta Chinese spot but genuinely an authentic experience by any standard.

Don't sleep on this place....every dish is full of flavor and large portions. Eat in or carry out. Try the lemon pepper wings too!

This is probably my favorite Chinese takeout place in Augusta. Their food is pretty good and the portion sizes are so large for the price you pay. I usually get their chicken with garlic sauce combo with fried rice. It'll usually last me for 2-3 meals. The other thing I really enjoy ordering from here is their hot & sour soup. I try to get it every time I order anything from here. I love how they have carrots, tofu, bamboo shoots, amongst other ingredients put into the soup. Sometimes the soup isn't as strong as I would like it, so I'll add my own chili garlic sauce or rice vinegar into it to give it a little more of a kick. Overall, I really enjoy coming to this place if I'm ever craving some Chinese takeout.

Rather good Chinese Restaurant out of nowhere, seems like family owned, very busy. However,,fast service and affordable. We enjoyed the pork fried rice and tofu and vegetable dish. Delicious. The restaurant allowed us to eat in, while others did the takeout. Big portion for $21.00
